Prepping for Indy Togetherness Rally
The best part is I got to spend some time with old friends
I traveled to Indy last week to take delivery on the first Togetherness Benches, and to finalize plans for our Togetherness Rally coming up on Oct 29. While I was in town I got a chance to catch up with Ken Johnson, a long-time friend and a key supporter of our efforts in Indianapolis.
Ken is a pastor of New Heights Church and community organizer as well as the former Chaplain for the Indianapolis Colts, which is where we met. He was Chaplain and I was Director of Marketing for the team back in 1996. We've been brothers ever since.
Ken and I are sitting on Togetherness Bench #1 (above), which is painted our signature light purple. For his church Ken chose "Colts Blue." Ken is pictured here with another close friend, Gerome Anderson, who stopped by while we were checking out the benches. So our Togetherness Benches are already having their desired effect. Getting people together. I'm so excited to be working with these guys and other friends in Indy to rally for #Togetherness.
